This was one of my personally most anticipated events out of the entire SummerStage line-up. After hearing the news that this would be the last anniversary that the Rock Steady Crew was celebrating under SummerStage, I knew I had to be a part of it. And it was everything I imagined it to be! The crowd was dense and lively, the sun was out and it lingered about 80-90 degrees, but it was easy to forget about the heat because everyone was having fun. I was surprised to see that there were attendees of different generations, considering that the Rock Steady Crew mainly caters to an older crowd who grew up in the 70's and 80's.

The artist line-up was also exceptional. The event was hosted by none other than the hosts of End of the Weak, who presented guest DJ's such as DJ Kevy Kev, DJ DV-One and DJ JS-1. The headlining artist of the afternoon was the well-known MC Lyte, who performed some of her hit songs. Of course, the Rock Steady Crew appeared on stage and did a stellar performance, concluded by president of the group, Crazy Legs, who showed his moves on stage before the Mobb Deep tribute to Prodigy.
